I’ve been thinking a lot about the early days of Fruition Interactive lately.
Thinking back to those first early days when the company was basically just me and a credit card and a dream. And thinking about some of the milestones we’ve reached since then: our first client, our first design associate, our first developer hire, our first marquee client, our first project manager hire, our first 6-figure engagement. And, looking back, I’m really proud of the people and clients that have come to us and I’m really proud of what we’ve achieved together.
It also feels like the end of Act I. That’s because Act II is set to begin.

Just a quick schedule note: Fruition’s offices will be closed on Thursday, July 1 for the Canada Day holiday. We’ll be open, with reduced staffing, on July 2.

I’m happy to announce the launch of Fruition’s new Web Success Scorecard. The interactive tool is designed to help you understand whether your online user experience is getting you the best possible business results out of the Web, social media and search marketing or whether you’re leaving money on the table.
The test takes less than a minute to complete and it’s completely free.

We’ve launched a new mobile-friendly version of our blog. If you’re accessing the site on your iPhone, Android, Blackberry (only some models) or other mobile device you’ll automatically be able to read and comment on all posts via a user experience that’s optimized for the small screen. You’ll also be able to tweet pages using your choice of the Twitter clients that are installed on your phone, post links using popular services like delicious, and email posts to your friends.
The new mobile blog comes along design changes to the Web version of the blog that are intended to make the blog cleaner-looking and easier to use.

I’m proud to announce our latest project launch — a Web site for the litigation law firm, Magrath O’Connor LLP.

Buried beneath the news of the Nexus One (AKA the Google phone) launch last week is Google’s roll-out of real-time search — Twitter tweets and blog posts are now indexed by the search engine within minutes or seconds (instead of days). This is going to have big implications for search marketers.
(We can only hope that this doesn’t mark the beginning of a new era of Twitter spam, designed merely to drive higher search rankings rather than to add real value to the online conversation.)
Here, Google Fellow Amit Singhal explains how tweets and other real-time Web information is captured by Google search.
